Job Title: Transport Coordinator

Our company is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transport Coordinator to join our team. The Transport Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient transportation of goods and materials to and from our facilities. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have a strong understanding of transportation regulations.

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate the transportation of goods and materials to and from our facilities

- Ensure that all transportation is in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

- Communicate with drivers, dispatchers, and other transportation personnel to ensure timely delivery of goods

- Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost savings

- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities and expenses

- Develop and maintain relationships with transportation vendors and suppliers

- Ensure that all transportation equipment is properly maintained and serviced

- Identify and resolve transportation-related issues in a timely manner

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in logistics or a related field preferred

- 2+ years of experience in transportation coordination or a related field

- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance requirements

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and transportation management software

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Qualifications and Skills

Must have a valid driver’s license and pass the requirements of a driver’s license background check.

Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.

High School Graduate/GED preferred.

Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families, and staff members.
