Summary
The Plant (Maintenance) position is responsible for assuring the facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas.
- Establishes expectations related to cleanliness, sanitation, and environmental appearance of the facilities interior and exterior in accordance with facility objectives and holds facility level department leaders accountable to achieve standards.
- Monitors the care and use of supplies and equipment to assure resources are available and effective to meet the needs of the facility inspections.
- Conducts rounds with facility level at least monthly and as needed including performing regular inspections of resident common areas and rooms for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.
- Ensure that maintenance schedules are followed as outlined for respective shift or area.
- Assists facilities to establish par levels of linens and supplies to avoid delays in care.
- Inspects storage rooms, utility, and janitorial closet, etc., for upkeep and supply control.
- Works closely with the Maintenance Director to establish formularies and assures each facility has adequate supplies and equipment and maintains adequate inventory levels to provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
- Report all unsafe/hazardous conditions, defective equipment, etc., to your supervisor immediately.
- Maintain general plant and facility in good repair, ensuring a safe, clean and orderly environment.
- Follow all established safety procedures and precautions when performing maintenance services.
- Monitors room readiness for new admissions, assuring facility level maintenance teams to actively assure rooms are clean and sanitary prior to a new admission’s arrival.
Qualifications and Skills
- High School or Equivalent diploma required
- One (1) year maintenance experience or equivalent. Some on-the-job training provided.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and to follow written and oral instructions.
