Bill came to StoneBridge Marble Hill for therapy following hospitalization for rhabdomyolysis, after sustaining a fall in his home. He experienced debilitation in physical and swallowing function and needed a wheelchair for mobility. He participated in intense 5-day-a-week rehab, focused on swallow strengthening, improved balance, endurance, and self-care performance. Throughout rehab, Bill was able to regain independence in swallowing function and through his hard work, relearned to walk with a cane. Bill is a proud veteran of the Marines, and was excited to regain so much independence before moving to the Missouri Veteran’s Home.
